Today the Illinois Zephyr enjoys strong support from the communities it passes through, and is one of the most successful Amtrak routes.

 

The travel time between Chicago and Quincy via train is approximately 4 ½ hours.

 

Quincy was once home to the Sauk, Fox, and Kickapoo Native American Tribes.
